my battle thread post was edited for no reason, and someone else's team rate thread(forgot who it was) was edited, for no reason.

This is EXACTLY what I DON'T want to see in the admins and mods...So, whoever it was, PLEASE stop this.

Admins/mods can edit your posts. But why on earth would they do something like that? What I'd do is get any and all trading done that I'd want and then pretty much say screw them and leave. I'd do that personally.

Well, the admins will just look at the Modding Log and see who's been doing what, and who ever did it will be sorted out accordingly.

Funnily enough, one of my posts has been deleted, so I think I know who it was.

im a mod but i havent edited or locked a single thing. theres been no need. I offered to moderate the site to help bug maniac marc out, but to be honest id revise who we give the moderating rights to because it did seem like they were just handed out. they should be given to only the admins themselves, or honest, mature members (like me) : )
things should only be moderated when completely necessary and editing and nitpicking is unnecessary. I just say we give another look at who can edit what, and hand moderating rights to those who will not abuse them, or simply leave the admins to moderate themselves by removing the abilities the mods have. I don't mind the latter option if needs be. I'd personally just like to help the site run smoothly

I agree, only allow the admins to moderate for now if people are going to misuse it. should the site expand in the future and you need help marc, dont hesitate to ask me for help cos I'll be happy to oblige.

once we get to around 60+ people we will need a few mods, so we may as well keep the ones we have, but I really have no opinion so he can do as he see fits

you say we should keep the current mods but someone has misused their power by editing aiden's thread so it could happen again. I say the admins moderate for now and when the demand comes, marc can ask for help from those he sees fit to do the job

Well, that would make sense. But marc isn't on as much as most of the mods and his brother is in college and even in the summer he isn't on much..

To be honest, most of the current moderators should not be moderators. I mean, some of them don't know how to make stickies, and one didn't even know he could edit other peoples posts.

I think you should just pick people you know can moderate fairly and can be trusted, eg (I know this will sound a bit big headed, but) me - I was an admin on the old site and I did a decent job, wasn't too harsh but wasn't too leniant, either. And I know what I'm doing when it comes to forums. So just pick people like that, really.

Wow thats strange, I have only locked 1 thread, but I reopened it because the op pmed me to unlock it. Also I have experience being a mod, maybe someone is hacking an mods account.

Why would someone hack an account for the sole purpose of changing scores?

If it means anything, one day I left with like 45 posts and the next day I had 51...

Maybe it does because you and Tominator are the mods who moderate these forums and if the op said one of his post was deleted it could have been one of you, or and admin, or a hacker.

Um, it was in a forum I don't moderate that a post was edited. so, really, this means nothing.

If you change the name of the thread, all the posts would remain as the original title.
